DORIA KUTRUBES, M.Sc., President and Senior Geophysicist

Ms. Kutrubes has over 20 years of experience in the applications of geophysics to geotechnical, environmental, hazardous waste, archaeological and hydrogeologic studies. She has performed investigations for underground storage tanks, utilities, hazardous waste, concrete deterioration, and archaeological remains at hundreds of sites throughout New England, across the United States, and internationally. Ms. Kutrubes received her M.Sc. in Geophysical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and her B.Sc. in Geology from Bates College.

MELANIE DENHAM, B.S., Geophysicist

Ms. Denham has worked with RSI since the spring of 2005. Since then she has become the lead field work specialist. She has performed geophysical surveys all over the Northeast. In addition to this she has traveled to Barbados to complete a fracture and void survey, Texas for a soil conductivity investigation and Chicago for utility detection. She graduted from Bridgewater State College with a B.S. in Earth Science, concentrating in Environmental Geoscience. Her strong background in geophysics made her a perfect match for the company.

KATIE DOWTY, B.A., Office Manager

Ms. Dowty, Harvard '06, came to RSI with a passion for anthropology and a desire to work in the archeological field. As a geophysical technician both helping in the field and in the office with data reduction, she quickly grew to become one of our most dependable field geotechs and has completed numerous projects throughout New England. In late 2007 Katie took on the role of office manager, as her unique office organizational skills were something she wanted to implement in the most beneficial way to the company. From being a geophysicist for the company in the past and already having an understanding of proposals and the services that we offer here at RSI, she has become an intergral member of the RSI team.

JOHN KICK, Ph.D., Senior Geophysicist

RSI works cooperatively with Dr. John Kick on seismic refraction and gravity projects. With over 45 years of geophysical experience, including 40+ years as the owner and principal geophysicist of Kick GeoExloration, Dr. Kick brings to RSI his expertise in gravity surveying. He has completed hundreds of a wide variety of geophysical surveys for environmental and engineering clients, ranging in size from Exxon Corporation to private individuals. His projects have ranged from landfill studies, hazardous waste and contamination migration studies, water exploration studies, and numerous geotechnical and engineering studies. In addition to a large arsenal of geophysical techniques, Dr. Kick also has been involved in numerous geologic investigations, including fracture trace and plane intersection analyses, geologic and bedrock mapping, and photolineament analyses. His gravity work has involved travel to Turkey, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Trinidad, and throughout the United States.
